On Friday, December 4, 2020, the Pennsylvania Department of Health announced that it has aligned their quarantine guidance for people exposed to COVID-19 with the latest update from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This update provides “an option for a 10-day quarantine without testing or a seven-day quarantine with a negative test on or after day-five of quarantine” for exposed individuals who do not show symptoms.

Note: This guidance will not apply to health care settings or those living in certain congregate settings as outlined in the announcement.
