Skanska, one of the world’s leading construction and development firms, announced the promotion of Rebecca Pizzi, LEED AP BD+C, Lean/Six Sigma Yellow Belt, STS-C, to Vice President of Operations for its Philadelphia-based regional operations, which includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

In her new role, Pizzi will be part of the leadership team responsible for advancing Skanska’s Philadelphia-based operations and ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget. Pizzi has been with Skanska for 20 years and brings 24 years of industry experience to the role. Prior to her appointment as Vice President of Operations, Pizzi served as project executive of the Philadelphia office, where she specialized in construction management of healthcare, higher education and commercial office facilities.

Pizzi is currently leading the construction team for the new Inspira Health Hospital in Mullica Hill, NJ, 465,000-square-foot hospital being built under the Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) method. She frequently speaks at industry conferences around the country, sharing best practices and project benefits of working under the IPD method.

A LEED® accredited professional, Pizzi also holds OSHA 10 and 30-Hour certifications. She received her B.S. in mechanical engineering from Trenton State College.
