Erin Dwyer Harvard, GBCA’s Director of Government Affairs, was recently spotlighted by Temple University’s Alumni Association.

From Temple University:

As an undergrad majoring in political science, Erin Dwyer Harvard, CLA ’16, ’22, knew she wanted to pursue a career in government affairs. She also knew she wouldn’t be happy in a government role unless it included her other passions: public service and helping people. With a positive spirit and an unexpected return to the nest along the way, she now finds herself in a role that she’s always imagined.

She found her current role as director of government affairs of the General Building Contractors Association (GBCA) through her master’s program. Her capstone project centered around diversity and inclusion in Philadelphia’s construction industry. Around the same time a colleague let her know the position at the GBCA opened up, noting that it aligned very closely with what she was working on. She reached out, applied and the rest is history.
