GBCA, in partnership with TLC Estimating LLC, hosted the webinar Tools of the Trade: A Real-World Comparison of Digital Takeoff Platforms on December 9. The session explored how leading digital takeoff tools are applied in everyday estimating workflows.
The presentation was led by Tina Curry-Logan, owner of TLC Estimating, and Scott Curry, estimator, who demonstrated three widely used platforms—On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, and Fieldwire. Drawing from years of hands-on experience, they shared insights into how each program functions in day-to-day estimating, highlighting key strengths, limitations, and ideal applications for different project types.
The discussion also covered how companies can select the right platform based on scope, workflow, and existing processes. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in a Q&A following the presentation.
