National Prevention Week is an annual health observance dedicated to increasing public awareness of, and action around, mental health and/or substance use disorders. In 2021, National Prevention Week will be held May 9-15.

In preparation of National Prevention Week, CPWR is holding a webinar on supporting construction workers at risk of suicide, mental health issues, and substance abuse.

The construction industry has one of the highest suicide and opioid overdose rates of any industry. The reasons are complicated. This webinar, co-sponsored by CPWR and NAPA, will spotlight the impact that suicides, mental health disorders, and substance use have on the trades and will share resources and examples of what stakeholders can do to support workers and keep them safe in a dynamic environment. Learn firsthand from experts with personal experiences and innovative programs that reach and support thousands of workers as they navigate through these complex issues.
