March 7-13, 2021 is Women in Construction Week. We are recognizing some of the women who own and operate construction businesses in the Philadelphia region’s construction industry. These women and their companies are changing the Philadelphia region, both its physical and cultural landscapes.

This week, we’re spotlighting Jennie Kensinger, President of R & R Ceilings, Inc.

How and why did you pursue a career in construction?

During my college internship I worked with an EIFS Tool Supplier. I enjoyed the time creating relationships and helping people, and it became clear to me that a career in construction was a great fit.

What do you love about running your construction business?

It’s the people. The construction industry is filled with great people. Both the people I work with and the customers we partner with, the teamwork and comradery are why I love the business.

What is one of your favorite past or current projects, and why?

R & R Ceilings completed a project for a design company recently that was very memorable. It was all custom materials, baffles, wall panels, and clouds. There was a feature wall that had inspirational imagery that left a lasting impact and was quite different than other projects. Along with the striking look, R&R was contacted directly and trusted to bring the project to life. We’re always proud of the craftsmanship that our team in the field delivers on every project.
