Rycon Construction, Inc. is a preconstruction, general contracting, and construction management firm with expertise in new construction, renovations and design-build projects for Owners of commercial, industrial, higher education, multi-unit residential and government buildings. Rycon was founded in 1989 by William Taylor and Todd Dominick as a general contractor specializing in interior projects. As the reputation of the company grew, so did the project sizes, quickly leading to additions and “stand alone” projects.
From Rycon’s beginning as an “Interiors Specialist,” there continues to be a strong culture of interiors capabilities that runs throughout the company. In this regard, Rycon has three groups and five offices: Pittsburgh (operating out of a LEED Silver Certified building), Atlanta, Cleveland, Ft. Lauderdale, and Philadelphia, to accommodate an Owner’s needs, goals and expectations. The three groups consist of the Building Group, handles project up to $100 million, the Special Projects Group, aggressively pursues, prices, and completes short duration, fast-track projects that are typically interior retrofits under $5 million, and the Casework & Millwork Division, a self-performed architectural millwork team.
Rycon operates as a general contractor/construction manager in over 40 states and has completed over $3.5 billion of work in their 30-year history.
