On Wednesday, April 24, GBCA Director of Safety Services Frank Durso, and General Manager of Steadfast Entities, LLC and Local 542 Operating Engineer Jameel H. Worthy, were invited to try out wireless headsets by Sonetics being used at Gilbane Building Company’s Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia site.
The wireless headsets by Sonetics help control sound for construction workers. The system can control the volume levels of those speaking through the headset microphones, but also allow enough ambient and traffic noise for workers to hear warning alarms and alerts around them. Overall, the headsets also protect workers’ hearing.
