GBCA is proud to support the Mentoring Young Women in Construction (MyWIC) Camp as a Groundbreaker Sponsor, helping to expand access to this impactful program for young women across the Philadelphia region.
MyWIC is a free, hands-on construction day camp for girls in grades 7–12, designed to introduce participants to careers in the skilled trades. The program’s mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of women in construction by providing real-world exposure, mentorship, and skill-building opportunities.
At camp, participants don’t just learn about the industry—they actively engage in it. From working with tools to collaborating with experienced professionals, campers build confidence, develop leadership skills, and gain a clearer understanding of the many career paths available within construction.

South Philadelphia: July 6–17 (FDR Park)
