Congratulations to Daniel Duku, the 2017 recipient of GBCA’s Outstanding Student Award at Philadelphia University. The Construction Management Program in the College of Architecture and the Built Environment honors the GBCA Outstanding Student annually in May based on GPA and faculty recommendation.

Daniel Duku is a recent graduate of Philadelphia University, receiving his Bachelors of Science in Construction Management in 2017. Graduating with honors – Cum Laude (GPA 3.67), Daniel was born in Bronx, New York but grew up in Ghana. In 2013 Daniel moved back to the United States to attend college. He is currently working as the Office Assistant of Physical Plant in The Maintenance Department of Philadelphia University where he tends to the needs of the students and faculty by making work orders for technicians and also closing them out. In 2016, Daniel interned with INTECH Construction, where he worked on a 10-unit residential building known as Rodin Square, between Hamilton Street and Spring Garden Street. His skills include punch listing, sending RFIs, Microsoft Office, Plangrid, Prolog, Revit, and Bluebeam. Daniel, although passionate about construction, also enjoyed playing for his intramural soccer team at Philadelphia University. In his spare time, he enjoys music and basketball.
