St. Augustine Preparatory School in New Jersey has invited GBCA contractors to participate in the St. Augustine Preparatory School Annual Job Shadow Program. This program will introduce some of its students to the vast career opportunities in the construction industry.
The school is looking for jobs to shadow on the following dates:
- Monday, February 18, 2019
- Tuesday, February 19, 2019
- Wednesday, February 20, 2019
For many students deciding on a college or an area of study can be an overwhelming task. The shadowing program provides students with concrete insight and real world professional experience, which aids them in making a more informed college decision.
If you are interested in hosting a junior student (or more than one student) for one of the three days, and allow him to explore and gain information about your profession, please contact GBCA’s Director of Education and Professional Development Angela Hendrix at ahendrix@64.207.152.120.
The momentum of this program continues to increase and the wealth of knowledge this exercise offers junior students is immeasurable. In the past, students have been fortunate to select from a multitude of business categories and shadow with many leading industry businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, healthcare providers and legal practices.
