The Carpenter Contractor Trust of NY/ NJ just posted a video of union carpenters from Philadelphia donating over 2500 hours to construct a new gym floor at the PAL Center. Councilwoman Maria Quinones Sanchez led a dedication ceremony honoring the carpenters, and officially opening the Harrowgate Recreational Center to the local community. The Local 251 Carpenters donated the hours in hopes that the local community would be interested in learning more about the Carpenters Union, in turn encouraging the youth to work toward a brighter future by joining the Local 251 Carpenter Union.
