About Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey

Founded in 1961 as Teen Aid, In. and affiliated with Girls Inc. since 2002, the mission of Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. In partnership with schools and at the Girls Inc. center, they focus on the development of the whole girl. She learns to value herself, take risks, and discover and developer her inherent strengths. The combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a pro-girl environment, and research-based programming equips girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers, and grow up healthy, educated, and independent. 2,200 girls ages 6-18 participate in Girls Inc. programs in Philadelphia and Camden annually.
