The Equal Justice Center project at 8th and Vine Streets in Chinatown, will be redesigned and custom-built for the 11 civil legal aid agencies and social-service non-profits that have officially joined the Philadelphia Bar Foundation as tenants.

Unfortunately, this is fewer than the 20 organizations that signed letters of intent, meaning that the building will need to be scaled back in size. General Contractor INTECH Construction, Developer Pennrose, and Architect WRT will work together to determine the needs and final design of the building.

The mixed-use project includes 55 units of affordable housing for senior citizens and market rate rentals, a small hotel, retail and park space and a surface parking lot. Outside the tower will be 36,000 square feet of outdoor and pedestrian spaces.
