For National Apprenticeship Week, GBCA is spotlighting some of the trades with which we closely work. Today, we look at the Carpenters.

The Carpenters Training Centers are the premier places to learn one of the following trades: General Carpentry, Millwrighting, Floor laying, Cabinet making, and Wharf and Dock Building.  Established in 1945 through the U.S. Department of Labor, The Carpenters JAC Training Center of Philadelphia & Vicinity has long been the area’s leading center for apprenticeship and journeyperson education.  The Carpenters Training facilities are part of more than 200 regional training centers in all of North America, where more than 50,000 students and 19,000 journeypersons receive continuing education.  Overseeing this vast network of training centers is the Carpenters’ International Training Center in Las Vegas, NV, where instructors go to keep current in the latest techniques and technologies of the trade.
