Congratulations to Ben Connors for becoming a member of the Construction and Development Roundtable; one of the nine business sector roundtables that will help to inform future policy and legislation so that it is more closely aligned with the needs of the business community. This initiative, in partnership with the Parker Administration, aims to maintain Philadelphia’s top-tier status by strengthening its potential for development and growth opportunities.
Objectives of the Construction and Development Roundtable:
- Efficient Processes: Collaborate with city officials and industry stakeholders to identify and address barriers to efficient project approval processes and permitting.
- Fair Procurement: Provide insights on policies that facilitate fair and transparent procurement practices, including opportunities for minority- and women-owned businesses.
- Workforce Diversity: Discuss and promote workforce diversity, inclusion, and advancement within the construction industry.
- Sustainable Development: Advocate for policies that encourage sustainable and equitable development practices.
