On Monday, March 4, 2024, GBCA’s Construction Leadership Council met with Sophomore students from Drexel University’s Introduction to Construction Management class. The CLC members spoke about what to expect after graduation, as well as real life tips that can help them be successful as they move forward in their careers.
CLC member Tyler Dunning, Superintendent at James G. Davis Construction, spoke about his career path and how he has grown into a leadership role by being a part of the team that started the Philadelphia branch of James G. Davis Construction. He also discussed the different types of technology that they utilize to improve construction operations.
CLC Officer, Steven Gobac, Senior Preconstruction Engineer at Skanska USA Building, a Drexel University alumni, spoke with students about his experience and co-op terms. He also discussed preconstruction and why he ‘loves’ it.
Both speakers highlighted the importance of networking and how the CLC has helped them to build long-lasting relationships in the construction industry.
