On Thursday, August 8, 2019, GBCA’s Construction Leadership Council hosted a Hard Hat Tour of the W/Element Hotel, being built by Tutor Perini Building Corp. The 51-story, 780,000 square foot hotel, scheduled to complete in 2020, will feature a total of 755 rooms and will combine two hotels: the 4-star W Hotel and the 3.5-star Element by Westin hotel. The building is the tallest concrete structure in the city. At the time, it was the largest concrete pour in the Philadelphia Region.
