On May 19, 2026, GBCA welcomed members and industry partners to the Spring Membership Dinner at the Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia’s historic Wanamaker Building.

The evening brought together contractors, specialty contractors, suppliers, and industry stakeholders for networking, a cocktail reception, dinner, and an engaging discussion on the future of Philadelphia’s economy.

A highlight of the program was the panel discussion, The Future of Philadelphia’s Economy: Investment, Infrastructure, and Opportunity, moderated by GBCA President & CEO Ben Connors, Esq., CAE. The conversation featured insights from Chellie Cameron, President and CEO of The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia; Michael K. Pearson, Commissioner of PhilaPort and President & CEO of the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission (PHMC); and Kate McNamara, Executive Vice President of the Navy Yard at PIDC.

Panelists discussed the opportunities and challenges shaping the region’s economic landscape, including major infrastructure investments, business growth, workforce development, and the continued importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors. The discussion highlighted Philadelphia’s strong foundation for future growth and the critical role the construction industry will play in delivering transformative projects across the region.

The event also provided an opportunity to recognize and celebrate GBCA’s long-standing members whose continued support and engagement have helped strengthen the association and the union construction industry. Congratulations to
