The next generation of construction management professionals is preparing to enter and shape the workforce at Widener University. Since launching its undergraduate Construction Management degree program in fall 2024, the Chester-based university has nearly doubled enrollment, offering students hands-on, experiential learning that positions them for meaningful careers in the industry.

Led by expert faculty, including Dr. Kimberlee Zamora, founding program director, professor, and GBCA committee member, the four-year program equips students with a comprehensive skill set in project management, technical expertise, leadership, communication, financial management, risk mitigation, and ethical decision-making. Graduates are prepared to contribute to efficient, sustainable infrastructure and to meet the evolving demands of the construction industry.

Housed within Widener’s School of Engineering, the close-knit program fosters a strong sense of community. Through site visits and networking events across the Greater Philadelphia region, students engage directly with industry leaders while building professional connections that support long-term career success.
