GBCA participated in a Union Experience Fair on Friday, May 1, at South Philadelphia High School as part of National Apprenticeship Week. The event brought together students, educators, and industry professionals—including Turner Construction—to showcase career opportunities in the construction industry.

Union Experience Fairs are designed to educate, inspire, and connect the next generation with family-sustaining careers in the building trades. During the event, GBCA spoke with students and educators about pathways into construction and highlighted its Workforce Development Trade Cards and online Educators Toolkit as valuable resources.

National Apprenticeship Week takes place annually and features Union Experience Fairs and other career-focused events for young people. These efforts are organized by the Philadelphia Building & Construction Trades Council, the Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO, and other partners committed to strengthening the future workforce.
