On Monday, December 13, GBCA will launch Building a More Inclusive Industry (BAMII), a new online training program about diversity, equity, & inclusion (DEI) for the construction industry. This training will go over some of the current debates in the US and provide resources and tools to guide companies through these conversations.

GBCA members and non-members will be able to access this training program for FREE through GBCA’s new online learning platform. The program is asynchronous: your team can move through the program at your own pace. We do, however, provide a recommended schedule through which to move through the program.

BAMII will feature the following:

  • Workshops
  • Tool Box Talks
  • Policies and Contract Language
  • Videos
  • Facilitator Guides and Power Point Presentations
  • Suggested implementation plans

Companies will be able to share the training with their field and office teams, project teams, subcontractors, owners, and labor partners. BAMII includes resources at varying levels of conversation, allowing companies to customize and create their own DEI training programs to best fit their needs.

BAMII has been created with support from Turner Construction Company.

We’re excited after almost a year of hard work to be debuting this. A huge thank you goes out to Chris Beck of Turner Construction Company, and his entire team. They have provided us and GBCA’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee with content and ample support. This training is vital to our industry, and we’re excited to see it put into practice.
