Thank you to all who attended the 2026 Construction Technology Expo, held at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia.
This year’s event brought together industry professionals for a full day of innovation, featuring exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge technologies transforming the construction industry. From hands-on demonstrations to in-depth conversations, attendees explored tools that are improving safety, streamlining project management, and strengthening collaboration between the field and office.
A key highlight of the Expo was the expanded in-person speaker series, which focused on practical applications of emerging technologies. The day began with a keynote session led by Zach Giglio, CEO of GCM, who shared real-world insights on how construction firms are using AI to support estimating, project management, safety, and financial decision-making.
Giglio also led an interactive workshop, walking attendees through practical examples and workflows to demonstrate how AI can be applied directly to everyday construction operations.
Additional sessions included a presentation on SafeT Coach, an AI-powered safety tool, led by John Bingham, Health & Safety Director, Turner Construction, and Kris Wahl, Innovation Manager, Turner Construction, highlighting how technology can support proactive planning and hazard recognition on jobsites.
The program concluded with a panel discussion on the William H. Gray III 30th Street Station Redevelopment, featuring Ryan Monkman (Gilbane Building Company), Nick Vitullo (Planera), and Monica Nelson (Trunk Tools), moderated by Matt Krebs (Shoemaker Construction). Panelists shared insights into collaboration, planning, and innovation on one of Philadelphia’s most significant projects.
