B. Pietrini & Sons, Inc. is looking for a talented individual to join its team as a Concrete Project Manager!
Concrete Project Manager
The Concrete Project Manager’s responsibility is to manage, in collaboration with the Superintendent, the concrete phase of projects. The Project Manager is the lead for project financials, risk management and client relations. Additional responsibilities are project set-up and close out, project buy-outs, contract execution and compliance, material and equipment procurement, daily progress tracking, project safety compliance, material invoice approval, manpower and production tracking. The project manager position reports directly to the Operations Manager and is a position with responsibilities that impact the success of the company.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Develop project budgets from estimates.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower schedules and delivery schedules
- Write and negotiate purchase orders and subcontracts for materials and subcontractors.
- Coordinate all aspects of concrete construction with the general contractor including project schedules, pay applications, change orders, submittals, and approvals, and RFIs.
- Represent B. Pietrini & Sons in project meetings, negotiations, and other venues necessary for project completion.
- Compile and present financials and job progress reports to the executive team monthly.
- Manage all financial aspects of projects, including buyouts, daily, weekly, and monthly cost monitoring, project forecasting, cost analysis and invoice approvals.
- Work with the superintendent to ensure that forming systems are coordinated with the engineer of record and are fully engineered and safe.
- Work with superintendents, foremen, and safety managers to ensure a safe work environment and a high-quality product.
- Work with estimators on pre-construction activities and project turnover. Also, as needed on bids.
- Estimate change order work as necessary.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements and Attributes to Be Successful:
- A 4-year construction management degree, engineering degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years of successful Project Management experience concrete construction with 8+ years overall in progressively responsible roles in Construction Management; design, finance, and personnel management required.
- Experience managing large commercial concrete construction projects.
- Experience Managing multiple projects at a time.
- OSHA 30 certified.
- Experience in leading project meetings and leading successful project teams.
- Communicate well both verbally and in writing.
- Create accurate and punctual reports.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of corporate, business and industry practices, processes, standards, etc.
- Be self-motivated, with the ability to work well on own as well as in a team environment.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of critical path scheduling.
- Demonstrate a history of success on project managed.
- Must have excellent time management skills.
- Be able to listen with the intent to understand.
- Ability to walk job sites, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, lift and carry, stand for extended periods of time and sit for extended periods of time.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
