Job Description

PROJECT MANAGERS provide overall management for the project and are the main point of contact with the owner. The project manager works with project executives, the preconstruction department, and the design team to develop the project schedule, construction plan, and phasing. During construction, the project manager is responsible for managing and directing the work of specialty contractors and Shoemaker’s personnel. The project manager also uses our in-house cost control, scheduling, and material and equipment delivery control systems to plan and manage the construction process. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline and five years of applicable experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and job experience. Knowledge of PC-based software relating to project scheduling and cost control required.

Job Requirements

  • 15+/- years experience in the general contracting / construction management industry
  • Ideal team member will have a 4-year degree and experience in project management with established life sciences, pharmaceutical and healthcare clients
  • The ability to have a firm grasp on the big picture of projects while maintaining knowledge of the details is a key attribute for success
