Road closures are scheduled around Lemon Hill and East Fairmount Park as Philadelphia prepares for the 2026 FIFA Fan Festival. Roads are expected to reopen by 8 p.m. on July 26.

The following roads will be closed for the duration of the festival:

  • Sedgley Drive (Kelly to Poplar Drives; Girard Avenue to Lemon Hill Drive)
  • Poplar Street (Poplar Drive to 30th Street; 29th to 30th Streets westbound only, local access maintained)
  • Poplar Drive (Sedgley Drive to Girard Avenue)
  • Lemon Hill Drive and North Lemon Hill Drive (loop road)

Additional Impact:

  • Waterworks Drive will close daily at 10 a.m. from June 11–July 19, with limited access to the Waterworks and Philadelphia Museum of Art. Parking will be available each morning until 9 a.m.
  • Outer lanes of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway will be closed through Labor Day; closures will shift to inner lanes around the July 4 concert for setup and breakdown.
  • No on-site parking will be available. Surrounding neighborhoods will implement permit-only parking, with increased enforcement by the Philadelphia Parking Authority.
  • Rideshare access will be restricted within the festival area, with designated pickup and drop-off zones outside the immediate vicinity.

City officials note that these closures will allow for safer pedestrian movement throughout the park during the festival

Contractors and businesses in the area should plan ahead for delays and adjust routes accordingly.
