For the month of May, GBCA and OSHA are focusing conversations about construction safety around Fall Hazards.

May 7-11 is also Construction Safety Week. This week, we’re focusing on ensuring that safety equipment is adequate, and avoiding falls from aerial lifts.

About Construction Safety Week

The mission of Safety Week is to collectively raise the awareness of the construction industry’s continuing commitment to eliminating worker injury, and to clearly communicate its dedication to a shared culture of care and concern and the belief that every week must be Safety Week.

About the 2018 OSHA Focus Four Campaign

GBCA and OSHA want to encourage improved safety in construction by facilitating conversations about safety on job sites. GBCA is joining OSHA in focusing construction safety conversations around OSHA’s Focus Four Hazards: Fall Hazards, Caught-In or -Between Hazards, Struck-by Hazards, and Electrocution Hazards. One way that we are doing that is by sharing Toolbox Talks for our members to share with Safety Directors, Managers, and Workers. We are also sharing stories about how our members promote safety on the job site.
