Local safety professionals gathered on May 14 at the Alan Horwitz “Sixth Man” Center for a Fall Protection Equipment Training Session, hosted in partnership by the General Building Contractors Association (GBCA), the Philadelphia Building Trades Safety Committee (PBTSC), the Mid-Atlantic Construction Safety Council (MACSC), and the Philadelphia Area Labor Management Committee (PALM BUILT-RITE).

The training focused on identifying and removing defective fall protection equipment from construction sites across the Philadelphia region—an essential step in preventing incidents and maintaining safe working conditions. Through hands-on breakout sessions, participants gained practical knowledge in fall prevention strategies and proper equipment inspection techniques.

By emphasizing real-world application and active participation, the session provided attendees with tools they can immediately bring back to their jobsites. All participants received a Certificate of Completion, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining safe, compliant, and well-managed worksites.
