The Ed Snider Youth Hockey and Education Club recently participated in a career visit to INTECH Construction, gaining firsthand insight into various roles within the construction industry.

During the career visit, attendees were introduced to the professionals responsible for pre-construction planning, project management, and virtual design and construction. Attendees had the opportunity to speak with Craig Sabatino, one of INTECH’s founders, who discussed the company’s history and his experiences in the industry. Employees from INTECH, GBCA, and the Eastern Atlantic States Carpenters Technical Center shared their personal educational and professional journeys, providing valuable insights into the diverse pathways that can lead to a successful career in construction.

Representatives from trade unions also spoke with the group, discussing the numerous opportunities available within the unions, particularly for young adults interested in pursuing a career in the trades.

The students visited two active construction sites: a life sciences project at 31st and Market, and the lower school at William Penn Charter, where they observed the practical application of construction techniques in an educational setting.
