On Wednesday, September 7, 2017 an articulation agreement was signed between the Carpenters Joint Apprentice Committee and the Community College of Philadelphia.

Signed by Carpenters JAC Director, Mr. Charles Brock, and CCP’s Dean of Liberal Studies, Ms. Chae Sweet, the articulation agreement awards Carpenters JAC graduates with 18 credits towards an Associate’s Degree in Construction Management at CCP. This momentous agreement will allow graduates of the Carpenters JAC to continue their education in obtaining an Associate’s degree through Community College of Philadelphia. Carpenters graduates looking to take advantage of the program can also utilize GBCA’s Tuition Reimbursement program, if working for a GBCA member or Industry Advancement Program contributor. GBCA’s program offers up to $2,000 per semester for a total of $4,000 per year. For more information or how to take advantage of the articulation agreement or GBCA’s Tuition Reimbursement program, contact Angela Hendrix, Director of Education & Professional Development at 215-568-7015.

Not only will this agreement assist carpenters in continuing their education after completing their program at the JAC, but it will also encourage folks to take advantage of GBCA’s robust Tuition Reimbursement Program. GBCA is pleased to be a part of arranging and ratifying the agreement and is proud of our relationship with both the Carpenters Joint Apprentice Committee and Community College of Philadelphia.
