Construction Project Manager (PM) and/or Assistant Project Manager

BFW Group provides construction project management, program management, construction administration, staff augmentation, QA/QC, scheduling, safety and owner’s representation to schools and institutions, building owners, large general contractors, government, real estate developers, and public housing authorities. 

We have an immediate opening for a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager for staff augmentation on a large construction project.  This is a 2-year assignment.  Duties include:

  • Provide assistance to Senior PM or PM
  • Assist with managing predevelopment process including design/development process, attend meetings and record and distribute minutes
  • Manage and compare internal budgets to contractor and sub-contractor budgets, value engineer and research and recommend alternates
  • Assist with bidding and contract negotiations
  • Help manage construction site including leasing equipment and trailers and obtain permits and utilities, subcontractors, scheduling and sequencing
  • Construction Administration including managing submittals, RFI tracking, establish logs and processes
  • Assist in managing vouchering, inspections, coordinating project meetings and minutes, help manage change order process
  • Help manage quality of workmanship, and work with and support site safety team
  • Assist with cost tracking and compliance
  • Assist with project closeout, punch listing, warranties
  • Perform other duties at request of SPM.

Candidate must have at least 5-years construction experience with commercial projects.  LEED, PE, AIA, PMP, Candidates with MS in Project Management encouraged to apply.  Experienced Managers also encouraged to apply.  Philadelphia and West Philadelphia residents encouraged to apply.  Interviews are next week.

Senior Project Manager

Clemens is seeking a Senior Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in the construction management industry within the Philadelphia marketplace.   The successful candidate will responsible for leading large profile projects from the preconstruction phase through project completion. Individuals will need to lead a project team and ensure fluid communication between Owners, Architects, Engineers and Subcontractors.  Candidates must have experience developing project schedules, site logistics plans and cost estimates.  Must be able to read and evaluate contract terms/conditions and have strong negotiating skills.  Typical projects will range from $15,000,000 – $80,000,000.   Multi-family apartment renovation and/or new high rise construction experience in an urban environment is preferred

Assistant Project Manager

Clemens is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with 3+ years of experience in the construction management industry within the Philadelphia marketplace.  Individuals will work alongside Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to oversee document control in regards to submittals, RFI’s, monthly budget reports and cost estimates.  Candidates will need to understand and read construction documents.  Candidates will need a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Project and be able to communicate well.  Any experience with multi-family apartment renovation experience and/or new construction high rise experience is a plus
