On June 13, 2018, Luis Torrado, Founder and CEO of Torrado Construction Co., Inc., was awarded the Community College of Philadelphia’s (CCP) Alumni Achievement Award. The award was presented at CCP’s Black & Gold Gala, the College’s largest fundraiser.

The Community College of Philadelphia supports the construction industry through several educational initiatives, in addition to its having a Construction Management program. In 2017, GBCA worked with CCP and the Carpenters Joint Apprentice Committee to create an articulation agreement which awards Carpenters JAC graduates with 18 credits towards an Associate’s Degree in Construction Management at CCP.
