On Thursday, July 11, GBCA’s Construction Leadership Council and AIA Philadelphia’s Philadelphia Emerging Architects held a joint networking event at Carpenters’ Hall. Guests mingled and networked, learned about Carpenters’ Hall, and saw parts of the building that are not open to the public, including the attic!

Thanks to all who attended: we hope that this was a good opportunity to meet other building industry professionals and emerging leaders, and an opportunity to create conversations between construction professionals and architects.

Special thanks to the following:

  • Dr. Charles Cook, Assistant Clinical Professor in Construction Management at Drexel University and GBCA Board Member, for providing guests with a brief history of the Carpenters’ Company and its importance to Philadelphia’s building industry.
  • Alex Palma, Assistant Director of Carpenters’ Hall, for talking about the history of the library and its collection.
